Robotic cerebellum in a brain damaged rat :Tel Avive University Scientists have done a robotic cerebellum implant for a brain damaged rat . That artificial cerebellum helps that robotic rat to regains its functions – means it restored the rat’s brain functions to make movements
The New Cerebellum is designed in a way to imitate that rat’s natural neuronal actions and movements .since rat’s new chip cerebellum works in a similar way as the biological networks ( gets information and give info back to brain ) – it give us the trust for the concept of recording all functions and info from the brain .
Matti mintz and his colleagues of the tel aviv university ( Israel ) have designed this rat‘s chip digital cerebellum in way that it can receive inputs , interpret those inputs and can also send signals . which aids the rat to make desired movement .
Matti mintz and the team tested the chip in the unconscious rat . they performed a condition based motor reflux . they made the rat to blink – ( conditions – on hearing a auditory tone alone with a puff of air on eye of that little animal .
we have came a long way to reach this place . scientists and researchers are looking into the next step on different sections of the brain . though it may take decades to work on complex sections of the brain and on complex movements , the current artificial cerebellum gives us a hope about the future replacement implants for brain tissues and this lead to a concept to better performing brain too…
Thanks to those cute little ones, who aid us in these kind research .
