Dolphins are cute and shinny marine animals -as they are friendly social animals dolphins can be easily trained .Dolphins are the warm blooded animals & they are mammals too . Dolphins live in a groups and it is called as pod ( group of dolphins ). these marine mammal can swim at a speed of 56kmph . there are more than 35 species of dolphins at different sizes and weight. ranging from 1.5m and 40Kg maui's Dolphins to apex predators of ocean - Killer whales with 30-40ft length and tonnes in weight.occasionally Dolphins Jumping out of water surface - but we can find out the reason why they are jumping out of water - but whatever we love it.

About Dolphins pregnancy time & dolphin habitat

Dolphins are just like Bats they use sound as navigation and for hunting prey dolphins mainly feed on fishes and squids - but the apex predators like orcas feed on high marine animals too. this remembers me a youtube video of a orca whale ( belongs to dolphin family ) . it was hunting down as seal at the shore and it was playing with its prey as football - this shows they are playful in character. Bottlenose dolphins have an average of 12months pregnancy time and gives birth of one calf ( baby dolphin). but this varies regarding the dolphin species - for orca killer whale dolphins the pregnancy period is 17months .
