• Giraffe :The worlds tallest animal is the Giraffe- Its eyes are capable of almost 360 degree vision. With the heavy body on extremely long legs, a giraffe finds no problem to gain a speed of about 55 km. per hour!
• The ancient Greeks believed Giraffe to be the result of a cross between camel and a leopard. There are nine kinds of this animal in existence. The big eyes have long lashes and over-sized tear glands.
• Giraffe evolution and habitat : Scientist believe that it is evolved from a deer sized animal to this state, through about 25 million years. Though Giraffe  roamed in vast areas south of the Sahara desert, at present they are  limited only to certain pockets of East Africa.
• Eating habit It may normally need about 45 kilos of leaves daily as food. Preference being given to acacia leaves!
• Long Neck :the Giraffe’s long neck not only gives it high vision, it also help much to cool the animal. lung of a giraffe is seven times that of man.
• Heart of giraffe :The 11 kilo oblong heart of this animal is capable of pumping about 55 liters of blood per minute, while maintaining the highest blood pressure among the animals! The valves in the arteries and veins are so arranged as to ensure blood supply evenly.
