one of interesting fact is Elephants are the only mammals that have a lengthy pregnancy time – nearly 22 months to give birth a calf ( with 91kg and 1m tall )- almost 2years to see a new one – from young one to adults , elephants are fond of water – they love to stay in water and make their body cool .unlike Indian elephants or Asian elephants – these African elephants have two finger like projections in their trunk, which help them to manipulate objects and elephant’s trunk can pull up more than 10 liters of water for spraying all over body for cooling or for drinking in mouth.actually the male elephants don’t stay along with the herd – in a herd there are 10 female elephants with baby elephants , with one leading aged female elephant. they stay close togerther protecting the baby and the young elephants stay with the herd for many years . unlike the Indian Elephants or Asian elephants these African elephants cannot be easily domesticated
